Spring Forward.

Happy Monday, everyone! I am very happy to say I am BACK with another outfit post!

This look features a Free People top that I am obsessed with. I saw this top at Nordstrom Rack and just could not put it down. It was the perfect girly, boho, white top, with longer sleeves that makes for an easy transition to spring!

I paired the top with some dark skinny jeans (because it is still cold in Central New York). Since the top was so loose, I wanted tight jeans to show off my silhouette a bit.

I finished it off with some fringe peep-toe booties from Just Fab. I felt that the fringe polished off the boho vibe.

Lastly, I added my blush Michael Kors crossbody for a bit of color.

I am so excited to start wearing more spring attire! However, it definitely makes me notice how badly I need a spray tan. #PaleGirlProblems

What are your spring wardrobe essentials? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time!

How Pinteresting!

This week is focusing on every wedding planning, DIY crafting, pastry chef's favorite social media platform.

Pinterest!

Ever since I received my iPad for Christmas, I've been on this app more and more. I feel that it is much easier to sort through on a tablet over a desktop or laptop. Or maybe I just prefer everything on my iPad now because laptops are too big and bulky. Who knows.

Pinterest is definitely a source of inspiration for many when searching for a dinner recipe or how to use a mason jar as literally anything. Most of the time, I use Pinterest as a source for outfit inspiration. If I want to include one specific piece, say my white Converse, I just type in "White Converse Outfits" and thousands upon thousands of pins will pop up and I am bound to like at least a few of them (but most of the time, all of them).

Pinterest makes it so easy to connect and share ideas which is why it has skyrocketed in popularity.

I've recently revamped my Pinterest a bit. Take a look at how I attempt to organize this chaos! Find me here! (@natashakirkland)

'Cause We Never Go Out of Style: All fashion & accessories pins. (Most frequently used.)

May Your Winged Liner Always Be Even: How I wish my hair and makeup looks at all times.

Globe Trotter: The board that gives me serious wanderlust; pins of places I would love to visit.

Let's Taco 'Bout It: The board that never fails to make my stomach growl. All food/dessert recipes go here!

Let's Celebrate: Because I am not planning a wedding or any sort of shower anytime soon, I've lumped together all event and party ideas onto this board. However, if I was planning an event like a St. Patrick's Day party, I would create a board specific to the event.

One More Set.: Next to the Nutella truffle recipes, you will find "13 Best Exercises for a Six Pack!" and those pins go here. (And usually stay here, unfortunately.)

"Happy Girls are the Prettiest Girls": It is only fitting to name this board after an Audrey quote. These are the random pins that make me smile, whether it be photos of dogs making hilarious faces, or articles on "Reasons why Lorelei Gilmore is You."

There's No Place Like Home: Home decor galore!

Gettin' Crafty: This is where I put all the crafts that I claim I will try but never do because they are honestly way out of my league.

OMAHA!: To pass the time during the off season, here lies all of my Broncos pins.

Lust List: These are things I wish I could buy. (All my Chanel Bag pins.)

"Larger, more beautiful, more powerful.": This title is from one of my favorite quotes, "To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful." Because I danced from the age of 2 to 22,  it's a little difficult to get over this art form. It will always be a part of my life and I am still inspired by it every day.

New York City Shoebox: Love New York. Hate the size of the apartments. Coming in clutch is Pinterest with its small spaces hacks.

Buggin' Out: I just purchased my dream car this weekend (still crying about it) which is a light blue Volkswagen Beetle. I have always loved these cars since I was young and I love looking at vintage Bugs and pins relating to VW Beetles.

Just Call Me Cupid: Y'all are aware my favorite holiday is Valentine's Day. Therefore, I have dedicated an entire board to February 14th. Things from Valentine's decor, to what to get for your boyfriend, to punny Valentines, I gotchu covered with this board.

Pinterest is definitely a way to get to know a person. For instance, by looking at my feed, you would probably notice I love neutral-colored outfits, I would probably sell a kidney for a Chanel bag, and Paris is the place I would most like to see.

But I also love Pinterest to share ideas with you all in a faster, more accessible way. So be sure to follow me here as I am on Pinterest pretty much every day.

What do you use Pinterest for? Let me know in the comments below!

That's it for today! I promise more outfit posts will be coming very soon when my photographer visits next week! (Miss you dearly, Annie.)

Oscars 2016: Best (and worst) Dressed

Ahh, awards season. Nothing better than sitting on the couch in your sweatpants while you stuff your face with wine and popcorn and judge what celebrities are wearing.

Am I right or am I right?

Anyway, while posting as many Leo Oscar memes as possible before they became irrelevant, I channel surfed between Academy Awards red carpet shows to get the inside scoop of all the glitz and Hollywood glamour.

In a sea of dresses and tuxes, I did spot a few looks that I would consider "Best Dressed."

So without further ado, I present: TC&CS's Best Dressed List.

This woman is one of the most stunning women in Hollywood, in my opinion. Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad was a superb choice with a subtle hint of skin while staying on trend in white. (Remember Beyonce's wedding dress at the Grammy's?)

Saoirse Ronan in custom Calvin Klein is unexpected but absolutely gorgeous. The sillouette is perfect for her slender figure as it just floats down her body. The beachy waves added a youthful element while her eyes popped with a smoky makeup look.

As the muse of the Maison, Alicia Vikander wears quite a bit of Louis Vuitton on the red carpet. However, this beautiful yellow color was definitely not predicted. Channeling her inner Belle, Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander showed a playful, feminine side that paid off.

Best Actress winner Brie Larson is a vision in blue on the red carpet. The sapphire color of this Gucci gown is perfect for standing out while doing so elegantly. One of my favorite parts of this dress is the subtle tulle detail on the neckline. It's a simple touch that adds a delicate element to the look.

Chrissy Teigen is my favorite person to follow on Twitter. She is absolutely hilarious while being stunningly gorgeous and basically reads our minds whenever she talks about food. Here, she is glowing in Marchesa. The low-neck and hip-hugging silhouette keeps this maternity look very sexy.

It was a tragic moment when we missed J-Law on the red carpet and I had to find a photo of her after Chris Rock was already halfway done with this monologue. It is no surprise that Jennifer Lawrence is stunning in Dior. Love the nude, love the lace, love the fringe, love her.

Have to have some guys on this list! Now I may be biased because it is my favorite color, but I thought Michael Strahan in this blue tux was a great look. While I love seeing men wear the classic black and white, it's refreshing to see some color on the red carpet from men.

This dapper young man stole the show with his adorable charm. Plus, he was so talented in Room. This boy has a bright future ahead of him for sure. Jacob Tremblay, remember that name.

And worst dressed goes to...

Heidi, I love you, but you look like an Easter bonnet. Take away the sleeve and flowers, and you'd have a beautiful tulle gown but all together it is way too much. I will not be surprised if I see this Marchesa gown on the worst dressed lists.

Who was your best and worst dressed?
How do you feel about the end of the Leonardo DiCaprio Oscar memes?

WWBWD.

For all of life's problems, a girl must ask herself one important question.

Because Blair Waldorf has all of the answers, and can do it in Manolos.

I kept this look pretty simple by pairing the boat-neck tee with a black cardigan, black leggings with a leather/suede panel on the side (very slimming), and black booties. To add a little color, I wore my rose-colored Michael Kors crossbody.

Also, on the day of this shoot, I discovered curling your hair with a flat iron, and let me tell you, it is LIFE CHANGING. If you guys want a tutorial on how I did my hair here, let me know in the comments below!

I think basic tees are essential to any wardrobe. You can easily dress it down with some ripped boyfriend jeans or add a bit of girly flair with a blazer. They're also perfect for layering during the cold winter months. Either way, they are more versatile than you think so investing in a few good t-shirts is definitely worth it.

Especially t-shirts that include references to ultimate-television-gold.

Valentine.

Happy Valentine's Day, darlings!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day full of love.

I love using this holiday to express my love for friends and family, as usually best friends are wayyy better valentines. (Am I right, ladies?)

Here I combined three of my favorite things: valentine's, cheese, and puns.

For this year's Valentine's, I went for a more blush and neutral palette. I knew I wanted to wear my blush pink Philosophy jacket and went from there. Since I wanted that to pop, I stuck with white and nude pieces; including my favorite favorite heels from Sole Society.

I kept my accessories simple with a couple of rings and some statement stud earrings and went for the Naked 3 Palette on my eyes. Because what better day to wear the Naked 3 than on Valentine's Day?!

That's all for now! Check back next Monday for another post!
